There are some disgruntled reviews here but in my case the experience was exemplary. Piluca (I hope I got her name right) was extremely helpful, managed to change my reservation, clearly explained various fees associated to it, and even offered some advice on where to park the car and what to visit in the north of the island. I couldn't have asked for more, really.

Awful overall service. Be careful with the low prices on the website: it doesn’t include minimum insurance, they make you pay when taking the vehicle. They don’t even have fixed prices but they play with numbers as if they were giving you “a special discount”. There are lots of better options than Goldcar.

My worst car rental experience ever. I rented 9-15.12.2020 trought Ryanair the cheapest car, I needed only to sometimes to keep my things somewhere safe. Arriving to the TFN the salesman was rude - why did you rent via Ryanair??? Why you don't want to bough additional insurance...? Promtly he charged additional 19 for airport fee, 1228 for \deposit\. The car received was scratched outside and inside - so I was very scared how can I return it and to show-these scratches all were before me. I made several photos and mailed to the Goldcar... Then my flight was delayed and I needed rent for 2 more days. This time I rented directly from Goldcar page total for 19.62 two days. Arriving back to TFN Goldcar office they demanded to leave the old car and to pick up another. They didn't release my deposit and didn't transfer to the new rent, so there was impossible to give them another 1228 for a new deposit. Tey asked as a solution to pay additional insurance 115.52 for two days. Additionally charged again for 19 for \airport fee\. This time returning \under the additional cover\ went smoothly. But the first deposit 1228 eur they released only on 2.01.2021. So I took the cheapest car for holidayst, but got the most expensive payments, unproperly rude and insisting behavior from the Goldcar TFN.

Terrible communication. I went to pick up my car and at the desk counter all these hidden charges where added - making it more than double the price of my initial reservation. Lost my initial reservation money and went to a counter next door much better service and price!

I am sure there will be bank robbers with more morals than these thieves. The staff are rude and incompetent. Alarm bells started ringing when they didn't know that as I have a British driving licence they need to ask me for paper counterpart. Then I was told I had to wait over two hours if i wanted a car under the 'cheap' tariff, so being tired myself and with grumpy young kids I accepted their 'voluntary' extra charges. The state of the car was deplorable (see pics), full of scratches and a very dodgy clutch, you could see it had been repaired on the cheap. I made the mistake to accept it, result: after 30 miles driving the car stopped in the middle of motorway covered in smoke. According to the local recovery service, they are very good customers due to the lack of maintenance of their fleet. Not only I didn't get a single word of apology from them for putting my family in danger but they added an extra charge!! and carry on insisting their cars are all new. The next car was also quite bad, but we hardly drove it as the kids were terribly scared. On returning the car I asked for ' Libro Reclamaciones' this is the complaints book that all companies must have available by law, they gave me a fake one, they insisted it was the official one, only was given real one after when they realised I can speak the language and I started phoning the police. After I left their desk, a woman called Maria phoned me a couple of times on my mobile, very rudely reminding me that they have my bank card number and 'recommended' me not to pursue with my complaint. I immediately contacted my bank and gave instructions to decline any requests of payment from this company, this was a good idea as they later tried to take 75 from my account without any explanation.
