Food is always good. Make sure you call in your order cause it does take a long time. I have called in and been told 15-20 minutes. Show up 20 minutes and still have to wait another 20 minutes... also check and make sure they give you all of your sauces... I have paid for extra sauce only to find out the extra paid for sauce is not in the bag....

It was good.. I would give it a 5 stars but my lemonade wasn't sweet and some of my meats was cold. I prefer the one in National City. The place is also tiny so if you do eat here, it's really hard to move around.

I definitely recommend getting the combo from Homestyle Hawaiian. You get the most bang for your buck and you get to try their delicious meats! I ordered the kahlua pork and teri beef as my two meats. The combo order comes with a scoop of rice and macaroni salad, with complementary sauce on the side. If you want more sauce they charge you extra, but I think one cup is enough! The kahlua pork is an absolute must-get if you order takeout from here. It’s succulent, juicy, and tender. It goes great with the rice especially, and I can never get enough of it! The Teri beef, on the other hand, was ok. The flavors were nice, but it felt like jerky. I think they might have overcooked the beef by a bit, as it was hard to eat and it was very chewy and not as tender as the kahlua pork. If you are new to San Diego, I’d definitely recommend coming to this place to order takeout! The portions are quite generous, and it’s definitely lasted me for about 3 meals. Customer service is also great and social distancing guidelines are strictly followed

The food was very tasty. I had the spam and eggs. Yes, I am a fan of spam. It's a small shop with parking out front. They brought our food to the car, which was great. We ordered some chicken for our dog. Once we had our food, someone came out to ask if we wanted a bowl of water for the dog. Not many places show this kind of interest in their customers these days. I will definitely go back.

Great tasting food and very generous portions. I usually get the lava chicken or Korean fried chicken and I typically can't finish my meal but I always save room for the masalas.
