I had to go through a multi-year purge of old files recently and it was a daunting task since I hadn’t done it for a long time. In total I probably eliminated enough paper to fill 5 full 4 drawer file cabinets. I had done shredding services like Shred It in the past and got hosed by their high prices and then tried Goodwill once but their pickup rules changed unfavorably for me so I shopped around and was able to find Shred Docs. I was amazed first at how fair Sam the owner was in quoting me a price without me knowing exactly how to quantify in advance how much paper I needed destroyed. He made a few suggestions on ways to get the paper to their location to avoid the higher cost of them picking it up and even offered to loan me a few of their heavy-duty bags than can hold up to 100 pound each of paper. I was able to load and drop off a few bags at a time and they were filled completely to the brim and weighed what felt like a ton each. It was tough getting them down the stairs and into my car but the great thing is when I dropped them off Sam and Troy, the other owner, came out to my car with a cart and removed the bags for me and made the process very quick and much less painful than I imagined. It took a few trips over the course of a week or two, but now I have the peace of mind that all of my client’s old paperwork is securely out of my office and destroyed. And in addition to that, it’s great to know that there is a very affordable solution for my future shredding needs. They literally charged me a fraction of what competing shredding companies were charging. I am a client for life! Thank you so much Sam and Troy!
