Not what it used to be. My most recent book was a real disappointed. Print quality was very poor. After complaining they reprinted and I upgraded to lay-flat hoping things would improve. Unfortunately, the quality was equally poor (in fact, it was worse). In short, no more blurb for me. There are plenty of other providers out there, offering far better quality for the same price. I wished they had been more transparent on their choice to go for lower quality.

I've purchased three books from Blurb, 1 softcover photo album and 2 hardcover versions. I made the books in Lightroom using the Blurb plugin. The process was pretty easy and you get an idea of the price in lightroom as you add and remove pages. There's a few small quirks in the software, so be sure to check everything over if you made any changes (from hardcover to softcover you'll loose text on the spine of the book and text can move from top to bottom). You can also review the book once it has been uploaded to Blurb from lightroom on their site (go to Bookstore Preview and then Preview). The books themselves are good quality. I actually found the photo quality to be better in the softcover version than the hardcover. Both are good, but there's better. I might try with different paper to see if that makes a difference in the future. To be picky, it also looks like the front and back cover text is not asterized\ leading to the edges of each letter being a bit blurry. Overall, it was well worth it to have the books printed. They also have rotating sales from 20-40% off. At 40% off the two hardcover books were less than 100cad including shipping.

Extremely disappointing service. Ordered a test print and reviewed. Then once my mass order was made I received it with a QR code on the back page. The company refused to refund or resolve the issue. The fact that you can order a test print and then they deliver something different says it all. Do not use this company if you care to receive what you request to be printed. Instead of resolving a misprint because some of the printing services they use 1 are a variety of vendors, 2 require a QR code to be embedded into your product to quality check, and 3 just continue to throw discounts at the problem to attempt to keep you as a customer. Unfortunately these discounts do not make up for the lack of consistency and service. Terrible business practices at all fronts.

I have been a Blurb customer since 2016. I have always been satisfied with the books and with their customer service. My latest printing job is not the same quality of my first two books. The paper is not the same weight. I have been trying for almost three weeks to contact them about the issue. I have emailed their customer service on their website. I have contacted support with the id# they issued me automatically. I have even tried calling their office in San Francisco! No response to any of my attempts to reach them. I am beginning of to feel that they are about to close down. Meanwhile they are sending daily promotions! My advice is don’t take up any of their offers at this point. I am very sorry that they have become so difficult to work with.

The worst customer service ever. I wrote two cookbooks with them. Lots of my customers never received their books. I wrote many email and no response. My costumers had no response either.
