Excellent down home eating! Stopped in for lunch at 3pm on a Sunday and the place was hopping! Nothing fancy, but great authentic food and friendly service. Features local fish and has a menu del día for 70 pesos. I had the garlic shrimp and it was super tasty. Highly recommended if you don’t want a tourist oriented meal.

La Chalupa is one of the original family restaurants in San Pancho. It's good is the same as it was 25 years ago. We love the place. If you want to actually experience small coastal village Mexican food this is the place. No overpriced meals here.
Great little Mexican family restaurant, the food is delicious and the service excellent.
Really nice spot, a traditional restaurant in a spot geared for tourists. It's a tad rough but it was the first restaurant in San Pancho and has reasonable prices and good food. Not for gringos afraid of leaving the beaten path. The host was great and we ate here three times.
