Currently MSC South is not accepting drop in clients previously before covid MSC South allowed 24-hour drop in for showers but since the pandemic this has stopped I provided MSC South of three star rating only because I feel that their staff especially their security staff need to have more training they were aware of what narcan was and how narcan can reverse an opiate overdose and in fact believed that the narcan was itself and illicit drug so while MSC South does great things for the community I do feel that their staff need more training in the world of working with homelessness addiction and vulnerable persons.

Stabbing. On September 6th 2017 someone was stabbed. On September 5th 2017 at 01:00 am someone was making threats I reported this to the supervisor. The supervisor said there was nothing she could do. Just to give you an example of how they manage dangerous people within this facility. I have posted a picture of the area in the shelter that was blocked off by the police after the stabbing.

So sad that my review from 8 years was lost in a server upgrade. I’ve been a client again in 2020 as I was in 2011-2012, I’m beyond satisfied with the services provided here. If you aren’t aware, MSC South like San Quentin was hit very hard by the pandemic. If you’re considering making donations of vehicles or money to a homeless shelter I’d recommend picking this one. If you’re looking to connect on a human level with the people on the streets of San Francisco consider joining us at SNLPES dot com. Citizen neighbors and homeless people working together to solve homelessness.
