I love next door shelter although I had my differences about them. Turns out this is the best place I have ever experienced while struggling being homeless at 22. I had no where to go , no family , I ran away 400 miles and started fresh here. I love the staff especially rose , Patricia ,Denise and Antinesha best wonderful staff ever. This place truly thought me to be a better person . Stay in my lane , and do me. Without them I wouldn't have got housing. They truly guided me through adult hood and now I'm doing very good. Thanks to Episcopal community services.

I am a service coordinator at the Next Door Shelter. The staff here are amazing and caring. The work environment is good, supervisors are friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is to provide a safe and secure environment for the clients.
Visited a friend there . It served its purpose for my friend but it's very unfortunate California has no grass on how to handle homelessness other than letting letting them do whatever they want in the city shameful
Is my first time as a homeless situation and I am very happy cuz they give me a warm welcome here all the stuff in here with me as a family and not going to complain everything is clean no stinky and everything is very very nice they are doing excellent job I recommended my name is David the situation
I honestly can't say enough great things. Clean. Quite. Safe. Very kind. Very good breakfast. Bring your own pillow.
This shelter is organize you can get dinner here other help like counseling, medical your bed has a locker on the bottom of your bed the place is kept clean, your able to save money and setting up for your exit to getting a place, it is safe.
Due to personal issues I was had to use their services. It is a shelter for the homeless. It is not like a hotel or someplace you could just check into for a few days. You must be referred by one of the homeless needs avenues such as Glide, GA, or Veteran services. There is a definite culture and attitude from the staff. Morning and evening meals are available, but the quality of food and service is poor at best. That said it is a place out of the weather. If you have s to go somewhere else you should. But if homeless and in need it is one of the better places. Keep in mind that it is a SF homeless shelter geared toward the chronically homeless. Great services when you can get with staff. A lot of information available if you know what to ask for. Cleanliness is poor, but as best that can be done for the chronically homeless and mentally I'll primary clientele. If it goes away, it will be a great loss for the community.
Out of all places Next door made me human again... It gave me a place to rest.. I must have slept a week when i first got there. Thank... you. My first trip was in 2003, i stayed there many years after that. Always remember the rest...
