There is not one single thing in this dunya world that is perfect, but we have to thank ALLAH FOR THE THE EXPERIENCE AND THE HAPPINESS OF BEING ABLE TO REST IN A BED. GOD BLESS THE STAFF AND KISS THE CHEIF.
Yes, I work here from time to time. A great place for those in need of emergency housing. It is clean, a great staff, and safe and dry. They serve breakfast and dinner to those housed in the shelter. To get put on the list for emergency shelter, you need to dial 311.
If you have a bed there: Laundry room available from 8 to 6 almost every day - half the days are for women, the other half for men. Showers available all the time (but the hot water takes a while to get to the shower head and there's no temp control); push a button/plunger about every 20 seconds to get the water to flow. Breakfast at 6am, dinner at 6:30 pm. A stink hits you when you walk in, and there are mice because the rules about food arent enforced. Heavy duty metal bunk beds, with bedbug-proof mattresses, and some bedbugs. 100 guys in the male section upstairs. There's also an old male section, for the dudes in their 70s and 80s, and a women's section, downstairs. Lots of altercations and threats of fights, but no actual fights. The food, sometimes, is really good.
