My husband and I both had suffered from acute diarrhea for 5 days and found this facility on the internet. We were met at the counter by a bilingual medical assistant, then worked on specs with the nurse taking vitals. The doctor is certified in critical and emergency medicine and thoroughly consulted with us. After his vetting of issues prescribed medications that will help us with our problem. He offered full lab work/blood and stool, but he felt strongly that we had parasites. With his confidence and script, we went next door to the pharmacy. He was able to communicate with the use of technology and descriptions very well. He understands English better than he speaks, but he does speak some. We left feeling well provided for and at a fair price. Now our bodies just need some time to heal! Thank you Dr. Ortega!

I think this is the best medical care I've ever had. I would give this place 10 Stars if I had the opportunity. Staff. Facility. Everyone and everything. I came in on an emergency. Three people helped me in. Most of the staff speaks fluent English. When you're very sick that counts. From the doctor to the technicians to all the nurses. They were kind and understanding. Top-notch medical care. I cannot thank them enough for their care.

I'm a 57 year old academic physician who was visiting San Miguel DA and suffered a bowel obstruction last week. Unimed evaluated and treated me equally to any leading hospital in the US, which included a state of the art CT scan. The physicians and nursing personnel were excellent. In fact, the physicians are Mexican board certified in emergency medicine. The rooms were immaculate, the beds were extremely comfortable, the TV had 10 stations in English. The service was also excellent, with hospital nurses arriving at my door within fifteen seconds of my pressing an electronic paging button given to me upon admission. Thank goodness for the liaison named David who once lived in the US and was adept at organizing health insurance issues. Unimed is excellent in every way. My strong advice is to find someone either at home or in Mexico who speaks perfect English and Spanish to be on call to translate with Unimed personnel using your cell phone when needed. Not everyone speaks English.

Pésimo servicio por parte del recepcionista. No da solución a nada y se hace el occiso ante solicitudes. Si así es con un cliente que solo busca una consulta y para todo pone peros, no quiero ni imaginar como es para una emergencia. El servicio de similares está mejor, aquí te tratan igual o peor que en el IMSS.
