A personal, private collection of mainly Atacama meteorites gathered over a period of 35 years and thoughtfully shared with the world. Great explanation for all levels of interest. An indepth description of each source of meteoric material with multiple examples that you may handle. If you are at all interested in what falls to earth through our atmosphere, this twenty minute tour is a must-see. Took me over an hour, including a discussion with the meteorite collector and owner of the place. Priceless! You've got to touch this to believe it! Very reasonably priced. Maybe a family/group rate for 5 or more would be in order? And a juice bar for those who say, it is ONLY rocks! I'd buy little meteorites if they were available. Suggestion: affordable fragments

This experience was informal, but well done. Entry is 4000 pesos for adults. For this you get an audio tour that explain all of the displays and gives information about meteorites. The level of information is good for "beginners'. The audio tour is about 25 minutes, then they explain about the larger meteorites in the middle of the museum. There a lot of things to do from San Pedro de Atacama, but it's nice that this is a relaxing and quick thing to do, and quite interesting.
It was a very beautiful experience. This is a must see for everyone that goes to San Pedro
This is a great place to go whilst in San Pedro. An audio tour will take you through the birth of meteorites to the current day. At the end of the guide one of the staff will give a hands on display of how to identify a meteorite which allows you to touch the material and get an idea of weight, magnetism, etc. We visited on a hot day but the museum was cool with fans providing a welcome breeze. At the time of writing entry costs are adults are 4000 and children and concessions are 3000.
Good audio guides in English, took about 45 mins, really informative, some really good samples, interactive at the end. 6 and 8 yr old loved playing with the magnets.
Really enjoyed this small but well done museum. Only requires an hour to see everything with a guide included in the 4000CHP price. Very informative and well recommended.
Fantastic views I'll never forget
Informative museum with the audio guide in English and Spanish. Just a little warm and stuffy in the tent.
