It has been a great joy being back at the Vineyard. A very genuine group of believers who love Jesus and love people. I always look forward to the fellowship and just how we can just be real with one another. Last week I showed up feeling exhausted and hurting a bit but throughout the service I felt the Holy spirit move and left feeling at peace.

Small but wonderful Vineyard Church.

I moved to Lancaster, PA in the summer of 2016 and began attending Sanctuary Vineyard that November. I was already familiar with foundational Vineyard values – Come, Holy Spirit, everyone gets to play, the Father loves you, come as you are, and more. Sanctuary Vineyard embodies these values in ways appropriate to the rural, farming communities it serves: quietly, thoughtfully, with understated yet passionate commitment to seeing the good news of the Kingdom of God break in to people’s lives. Discipleship happens at Sanctuary through an intersection of healing, teaching, equipping, and sending, allowing God to form and transform people into his image as they learn and grow. Worship services are intent on seeking the presence of God and hearing what he has to say. Sermons are grounded in the Biblical text and offer pragmatic, meaningful suggestions for application in daily life. Honoring and glorifying Jesus is the center and focus of this church. Kids are valued as fully participating members of the community, adults are loved and cared for, and grace abounds. The pastoral leadership models humility, kindness, and deeply abiding faith. People who attend Sanctuary find acceptance and love. My life previous to moving to Lancaster was transient; at Sanctuary, I feel like I’ve come home.

This is a Spirit field church that has been a second home for us. I would highly recommend you visit if you are ever in town. Pastor Rip does a fabulous job with his sermons, we always left feeling inspired to be disciples of Christ Jesus.

FREEDOM is the word to describe what I've experienced as the result of the prayer ministry at Sanctuary. The process was filled with Grace, Gentleness, and Truth - the latter not always easy, but always offered with patience and acceptance. In a word: LIFE-CHANGING. Wounds in my soul created as a child and reinforced across a life time - healed by inviting Jesus into those memories, confronting the lies, being shown the truth, and experiencing Jesus' love. Deliverance from spirits that imprisoned my soul - for decades. I thought freedom was not possible - but it was - it is. It took time. They offered patient and persistent ministry as I worked through the layers. I am grateful beyond words - literally. Thank you. I've not visited the church for a service - I've only engaged with Sanctuary through the prayer ministry because I live half-way across the country. My interface has been primarily with Rip, the pastor of Sanctuary. He is an amazingly gifted and caring man. If I lived anywhere near Lancaster, this would be my church home. I would want to be part of this Body that is engaged in this life-giving ministry, and is being led by a person who is solid in his walk, willing to go where God is leading him, and eager for more of what God has for him and for the church.
