We had an Esse gas stove installed in our lounge by Cheshire Stoves & Cookers in July 2012. Other companies were happy to install a wood burner, but Cheshire Stoves And Cookers advised us that our chimney breast wasn't fit for purpose - they were the only company that actually went into the loft to check. The showroom was very helpful, and we appreciated the advice we received on the best stove for us. The installation was really where they came into their own. We needed the hole making as it has been boarded up by previous owners. It was naturally quite a dusty affair, but the chap who carried out our installation kept the dust to a minimum and kept us informed from the begining to the end. He even tiled the hearth absolutely perfectly to boot. I don't want to jinx it(!), but we haven't had any problems at all with the fire - it kicks out heat and can be easily adjusted using the dials on the side. The whole service from begining to end was absolutely perfect. In fact I've just recommended you to my Mum, so your phone should ring soon! The only problem we have now is that our two very sleepy Greyhounds both want to lie on the rug in front of it, and we have to move the coffee table! Very knowledgeable lady assisted and made great suggestions. Updated: we had a new fire installed by Richard and Bob, plus repairs to flu for log burner and finally new chimney pots installed. Lovely people who took the time to explain exactly what they were recommending and doing. Kept mess to a minimum, not easy when original chimney badly bricked up and had to be gently taken apart for new insert. Polite, professional and always on time. Thank You for the excellent service received. Highly recommended.
