Dishonest, no integrity whatsoever, preys upon young college-age people who just want a job, puts up all kinds of fake "employee" comments online that resort to name calling people who report on their practices. They'll always claim that they made 30-50K in their first year, which is bogus. This "job" requires you to buy over 100 worth of equipment just to demo to potential customers. NEVER, EVER take a job that requires you to pay that much up front. Let's be honest, that's a lot of money worth of food for the average poor college student. They claim it's "not" door-to-door sales, that it's "not" cold calling. Truth is it's a little of both and just as tedious and unrewarding. I did my research. I did not return for the second day of UNPAID TRAINING. (On the first day, one of our trainers obviously did not know what she was doing and wound up almost slicing off one of her digits when trying to demonstrate for us. I felt bad for her on two levels.) I politely left a message for them saying I wouldn't be returning. I received a rude message on my phone later asking where the hell I was... even though I left them a message saying I wouldn't be there. How professional. These sort of businesses are not worth your time or anyone else's time, whether working for or buying from them. You can get sharp-as-heck knives that are dishwasher safe anywhere. You can look up all sorts of reports on how this company has been sued for misrepresentation. Knowledge is power.

Phil and Holly are awesome managers and are amazing at what they do. What you put in is what you get out. I personally really like that there's really no cap to earning potential, and that managers support and mentor their reps. If you wanna earn what you're worth, check these guys out Update: been here for 3.5 years now. Still loving it!

Vector Marketing is an amazing company that gives students the opportunity to grow professionally, financially, and personally. I have received several scholarships because I have had Vector on my resume. Sales skills are important to have in any career/major, and the training that Vector provides puts students on the path to a successful future. The training seminar is a college-level course and is valuable to put on a resume. Because there is a base pay/appointment, representatives never have to be "pushy" or pressure their customers. We only see customers on a referral basis, so our reps are never getting yelled at our kicked out of homes (In my opinion, this is way better than going door-to-door!) I have worked for Vector Marketing for almost two years, and I would recommend this job to any students who want to be paid for their value, and not just their time. If you are lazy and prefer a "clock-in, clock-out" job that is repetitive and not challenging, then this job is not for you. I appreciate the flexible schedules and outstanding pay; I am on my way to graduate debt-free from college. I would recommend going in for the interview to check it out, despite bad reviews from others. Keep in mind that everyone has different experiences. What someone puts into this job is what they get out of it. Good luck!

ATTENTION !!! This is not a good company to work for! My son was hired by vector marketing and suppose to start training this week; He was so happy that he was going to be making 18.00 per hour selling knives - Like a typical teenager did not question about not getting paid for training. I am old enough to see when something does not sound right. i did some research and here in Utah and under Utah Rules, an employer is REQUIRED to pay an employee for required attendance at training. If any individual employee is required to attend training and is not paid for that time they have the right to file for the unpaid wages as they would any other unpaid wage. VECTOR MARKETING has Class Action LAWSUIT in a few states. Please before you decide to work for these people check the company's business practice and integrity, on line. There are still good companies out there to work for but Vector Marketing is not one. My son decided not to work for them. I wish you, young and inexperience workers the best in finding a good and reliable employment! UTAH LABOR DEPARTMENT & FAIR LABOR STANDARD ACT.

I have been working with the company for about 7 months and its been a pretty good experience. I have gotten a lot of free product which is awesome because Cutco is an amazing product. Honestly I use them all the time. While I am not good at selling, I have a strong work ethic and that is what it really takes to succeed in anything. I agree that is not for everyone but I am glad I gave it a chance. It not only helped me pay for school and come out of college debt free. which. is pretty great. it also helped me learn how to speak in public without having a panic attack and that is really useful for life overall.

This is the best job I have ever had of many. I love the environment and within the first 3 months I was acknowledged for my hard work and given awards and recognition. I now can run interviews professionally, manage my time better, and my networking and people skills have soared.
