Read and write reviews about 0xf research. 0xf research was founded in 2017 by students at the high school Rhabanus-Maurus-Gymnasium in Sankt Ottilien. It is developing an autonomous real-size two-seated vehicle, equipped with cameras and LIDAR sensors. Both the electronics as well as the machine learning algorithms are custom built because compared to regular efforts on lane detection, its challenge lies in detecting roads with no clear road markings or street signs. The objectives are to enable autonomous driving in rural communities, to research in the field of artificial intelligence, and to educate young talents of the high school. The project is fully sponsored by the monastery Sankt Ottilien.
