El monestir de sant Cugat és una meravella arquitectònica que va començar el segle novè. Consta de quatre parts ben diferenciades el monestir pròpiament dit el claustre, el palau abacial i la fortificació amurallada que rodeixa tot el complex. Té Diferents estils arquítectònics però destaca per la seva ecolucio entre romànic i el gòtic.
