A really pleasant surprise and a must visit in Santa Cruz. A very eclectic mix of art, animals, sailing, stars and more all housed in a gorgeous building

It's pretty weird that this is closed on weekends but open on mondays
The museum part came as an after thought. It's mostly a pretty building with big, permanent, unchanged exhibits about life, culture and what's in the island. Histerical how they have not one but several mutated goats and dozens of different mutant animals as one of the bigger platers of the visit. It has an extra point because the music school is in the same building and having a walk by can gift you with unexpected, but always delightful live music of artists in the making.
Enjoying this museum depends on your interests. It is a bit of an odd collection of art, animals, island history and building history. Not expensive though and it is a really nice building to have a wander around in.
I agree with previous reviewers, this really is a delight. There are a variety of thoughtfully restored/preserved items, old and new, and it really gives a sense of the island's cultural history. Lovely building and helpful staff too. Pretty good value at four euros I reckon.
Good size museum with a vast range of subjects to look at. Entry was around EUR4 per adult and children free.
