Another good place to visit and see the process of getting salt with sun, wind and marine water. Also with a very good restaurant on premises

Astonishing interesting place, in a incredible volcanic-sea-landscape! Definitely worth it. The road to this place is also amazing.

An interesting 30 minute walk, free of charge, around these salt pans providing a great insight on how salt is produced organically from sea water. There is a cafe/restaurant there which has good views of the sea and the surrounding volcanic landscape. Accessible by car and bus and attracts many walkers. Worth a visit.

I'm gonna give it a 5 stars. This place is, without a doubt, not one of the island's landmarks, but one of the entire archipielago's most iconic places. We should honor tradition and the old ways, and the salinas is a living example of this. Sure, there's some shady tourist traps trying (and suceeding) to milk such a wonderful place. But don't let the lazy leeches get you less excited for such a timeless stamp. One of those places you have to check out when visiting the island or having a trip around the island.

Lovely place , little walk with information boards. Really enjoyed it. Restaurant , bar and information centre with shop were great too. We bought some of the salt there. Lighthouse was being painted on our visit. Would recommend as a little local trip.cheap public bus goes every 2 hours.
