Club Yachting is an RYA Training Center & Sailing Holidays Club located in the south of Tenerife. The area is great for sailing with warm sunny weather 95% of the year, constant trade winds that offer acceleration zones and sheltered areas that makes it great for training. Many marinas in cozy towns and beautiful anchorages that are within a day sailing range offer great possibilities for exploring other Canary islands. The team of instructors run courses that are laid back but with serious training in yachts that are reliable and fun to sail, all of them have all the safety equipment and offer comfortable accommodation for life on board. Overall this training center is a great option for courses and holidays because of the low costs, friendliness, flexibility and quality service. It is easy to get there by plane but hard to leave, as you'll want to stay sailing around the Canaries for weeks :)

This school is a total disaster, a tragedy, a mistake. No one knows anything, no one tells you anything and you better have some decent survival skills when you get here, as they won’t even tell you where to go from the airport. In spite of the SEVERAL emails sent before my arrival, I received no reply whatsoever and I didn’t even have an address to go to. So from the airport I took a taxi to the marina and thankfully there was a boat with what appeared to be an instructor, who told me that I could have waited there till someone decided to show up. He also mentioned that it could have been several hours before they remembered that a new student arrived. Good luck trying to find the school in the town centre, because it’s totally unmarked. During my course they placed me on different boats, with different level students and in the end I learned absolutely nothing. A waste of time and money. To all new students they promise a nice bbq on the school terrace (which is also the owners private home), but it just never happens. To lure you in, they include a drink a week in their courses, but that also never happened. This place is the example of what not to do with a school... just unbelievable. By the way, this is the ocean, so sometimes the sea is just too big to go out, so in that case it’s a wasted day.
Hi there, I have personally a great experience with the school. There are courses to follow on all different levels of RYA. Training and classroom teaching are friendly and professional. Must say learned much more than expected. Allot of teambuilding! We did get great meals up on the terrace, which is not the owners private home. The marina, boats and school are easy to find as they are well explained in the mails, aswell as additional information. The school has been taken over last year by a lovely couple, Ovi and Judith, that will go out of their way to make everybody feel welcome. I highly recommend this school to anyone wanting to do any RYA training.
After the first 5 weeks of my FT Yachtmaster course I could appreciate the experience and support of the staff. The location is great, with wonderful weather and different sailing zones offering comfortable to challenging wind conditions for learning, or for just practising. The course focuses on what really matters, without whistles and bells, that explains its affordable cost. Will plan the second part of the course asap.
Warm and positive atmosphere in the school, great instructor (thank you Andrey Raikov for your patience and wisdom!) - it was great to study here, I hope I will return here to develop my sailing skills further.
