Cañadas del Teide

What can I say, what an efficient and professional company. During our visit to Tenerife, the Teide was on our list but we were a little bit nervous due to the Corona and being packed into such a small space. When we arrived, the guy said if we wait about 20 minutes we would be able to go onto the next car with very few people. It was just right, there were about 10 people in the car with us on the way up and on the way down. They leave the windows open to ensure good ventilation and between trips, a gang of employees armed with cleaning equipment, board the car and thoroughly sanitise all surfaces. Due to this we were able to just enjoy the ride up to the top to see the amazing views and landscapes. One more note, I have seen that many wrote in other reviews about taking a bus. My opinion is that if you have a hire car, then drive up. The roads are very good and the views are amazing. There is ample parking at the top.

We visited in June 2019. The price is a bit high, but well worth the experience of being transported close to the peak of a Volcano!! There was a small problem with our returning tickets, but the operator was kind enough to let us go down. The staff could be a little nicer. Great experience overall :)
Our experience was really bad. We booked the cable car guided hike and just hours before our timing we received an sms saying that the guided tour was cancelled and we could get a full refund or exchange for a Audi-guide experience. We decided to exchange for the audio-guide as we were already on the way and, to our surprise, when we got there to do the checking the lady in the information kiosk was so rude when asking about the audio-guide. She kind of shouted that we supposed to download an app on our phones (there is no good signal ya the summit) and also informed us that the trails at the top were closed only be allowed to stay at the top of the cable car lane for 1h. Also, it is like been on the middle of a construction site, look at the pictures. Another surprise. The top point view was packed because you can’t go anywhere else! Long story short, we payed 79 for two tickets for a ride on a cable car, amazing! You must improve your comms and your staff customer service training. If we know it will be that awful, we will ask for a full refund.
Well worth the journey. The view is spectacular on a clear day. Get dressed, it’s colder than you think. Drink plenty of water and prepare to experience some altitude sickness if you’re heading straight up from sea level.
A must see when in Tenerife. These days (2020) You need to buy your ticket online, 1h before the cable car is due to leave. There is no option to buy tickets on the spot. In addition, if you wish to venture to the top of Teide, you need to book your reservation two days before, it's free but also done online, as they only allow max 200 people a day. Getting to Teide is easy as they fixed all the roads. Mobile phone reception is patchy along the way, but you will get signal at the cable car place. Antibacterial liquid dispenser are everywhere and staff wipe the car after each descent. Highly recommended. PS: There is even an electric car charging station here, so your Tesla won't run out of juice
