It's a decent hotel, nothing more. With a Tribute brand property I have higher expectations. The outside seems to promise a unique and interesting experience but the rooms themselves are very "chain hotel" once you get inside. They also charge daily for parking along with a resort fee (resort fee was not charged due to covid). I don't feel either charge is warranted.

Giving one star is generous. We stayed in the hotel for less than three hours. Everything in the room was dirty. We presented the evidence to the night manager and this was after 11 hours of driving to get to Santa Fe. With lifetime gold status with Starwood and more than 900 nights in their properties around the world this was the low point. The air vents had never been cleaned - they were black with accumulated dirt. Horrible experience and given the continued pandemic, shows a lack of respect for all customers.

We stayed here in December of 2019. It was fantastic. From the unique decor, to the individual rooms it was awesome. Having a working firplace in your room is not something that happens anymore. And when it drops to 9 degrees outside, it is functional as well. I would 100% stay here again.

Really pretty property and very friendly staff. The hotel is very old so be prepared for that. We loved the charm but being ear plugs or a sound machine as is very easy to hear conversations in the unit next to you and outside. But great location and a unique hotel experience that fits it's surroundings well. I would recommend it!

We’ve had several experiences at LaPosada before the pandemic. Since then, the service has deteriorated greatly. The hotel only cleans rooms every 3 days. There was NO support to get luggage to your rooms (and the rooms are quite a hike!). We had an ant infestation in our room, and there was dog hair everywhere. After my 2nd discussion with the front desk, they did come to clean...but really? No excuse for an unclean room. There was one gentleman who came to fix our broken blind - very nice. At this point, I’d look for an alternate I’m sad to say!

WOW! What a hidden gem! Beautiful rooms, most comfy bed, well- taken care of and the friendliest staff ever. Stopping for a night on our way to Arizona from Colorado, I could not wait for our return stay. The rooms are so tastefully done and comfy, I would come back just to get rest in the rooms for the weekend and enjoy the beautiful property.

Covid restrictions aside, the old hotel section was poorly converted to Adobe with beautiful Victorian fixtures that unfortunately did not work very well, beat up furniture and stains on carpeting. We were invited to “happy hour” and then charged 80 for a few drinks. Nice location, close to town but would not recommend rooms in the old hotel.

Wonderful weekend stay here! Went on the private ghost tour prior to our stay, so we got to hear all about the history and ghostly activity. Beautiful casitas that are very spacious. Diane at the front desk was extremely kind and helpful! Would definitely come again, and recommend it for the history and charm.
