This was the worst experience I have ever had moving. All of my furniture was destroyed by the way Pods handled my items. The Pod arrived at our final location damaged with a hole in it and claimed that the damage was normal wear and tear. We went thru their insurance representatives to be paid out for our losses and they blamed the entire thing on us. We lost 6,000 and spent weeks scrambling and stressed out after a 1,000 mile move trying to replace what we lost. Don't make the same mistake as us.

Yesterday I was having a heart attack when I checked on moving my POD. So using PODS Moving and Storage sounded like a good idea. NOT, beware not only of the expense but the fact that you are paying for the extra time that they need to get your stuff where it needs to go. I had a pod that was delivered May 30 to Lompoc, Ca. We took our time loading it because we had time. But Mom and Dad, 80 & 85 found a house in Clovis, Ca where they could move and escrow closes on the 8th of July. I called to see when I could schedule the move (I just found out Friday when escrow was closing) and PODS will be bringing it sometime in August! What???? We are paying for the extra time needed for them to find a driver while our stuff sits in the driveway of the new owners of the old house! NEVER again will I use this company and NEVER will I have a nice thing to say about it. All in all we will be charged for a late delivery, 2000. When I was talking to rep on the phone I was hearing 460 to drop off, 200 a month and another 400ish to deliver. Not happening it is 800 to deliver to Clovis and another 150 to take it to the house. Way to rip off some 80 year olds PODS moving and storage. The price is one thing but the delivery? Your website says, "... we give you all the time you need to load and unload and delivery and pickup are determined by you and not us" that is a miss statement as we are waiting 4 weeks after the close of escrow. We are going to have to rent another truck to get the stuff from the pod to move it ourselves. My 80 year old parents do not need a month to wait on the other half of their household supplies. Waiting on a solution from Santa Maria PODS to get this thing moved!

They deserve a negative rating. I organized my move to have 2 pods come on 2 different days from Chicago. I organized the pods by was necessary to have to start my job. We took fours days to drive from chicago to be here on time for the arrival of the first pod. I was called by Charlie who told me the first pod was going to be delayed. I asked to speak to a customer service agent. He said no one was available in the entire company. He said I would just have to accept it, they forgot to pick up my pod in Chicago. There was nothing anyone could do. No supervisor could help me. That pod has been delayed for 8 days now. I was called by pods last night at 7 pm saying my second pod ( with un essential things) was to be delivered last night.it was 7 pm, I asked are you sure? Same Charlie says yes, sorry about the late phone call. I informed him we waited at home all day. We had to make sure there was enough room for the pod to turn on the driveway, we had to block some room. No pod delivery after all. I called customer service again today, Allie told me “it’s not perfect”, and that both pod are not in California. I told her I had surgery, I have been more than patient. I wanted to speak to a supervisor, which she didn’t think I needed to speak to. I’m still on hold, it’s been 45 minutes. I wouldn’t recommend pods to delivery anything ever again. Worst customer service ever.

The PODS are a great idea, but the idiot driver dropped it in the street causing a safety hazard to anyone who drives down the street. The UPS truck had to drive off the roadway to get around it.
