I was referred to Dr. Amir Vokshoor. After getting an MRI, CT scans and multiple X-rays as it was apparent I required several fusion surgeries, a collapsed disc as well as a decompression. Needless to say I was in substantial pain. Surgeries were performed by Dr. Vokshoor on November 12th and 16th at Saint Johns, Santa Monica. Dr. Vokshoor was completely informative and transparent regarding the operations. I was well informed. The surgeries were flawless and the hospital care was excellent. Dr. Vokshoor referred me to California Rehabilitation Institute upon release. I spent a week and cannot say enough for the quality of rehabilitation I received. I am still receiving home care. After three weeks, I am able to walk without a cane. I’m sleeping and I am not experiencing any pain whatsoever. I am extremely grateful to Dr. Vokshoor for giving me my life back. When I took the MRI scan cd to Dr. Vokshoor, I was impressed with his sharpness, diagnosis, and recognition of urgency for an immediate surgery on my cervical vertebrae. He explained what needed to be done and how. Surgery was scheduled and done within a week - reconstructed the cervical vertebrae. I was released from the hospital on the second day of surgery. It has been five weeks since my surgery and have traveled during the passed 10 day in California then to the east coast, to London ending my trip at south west Africa a couple of days ago, with hardly any discomfort. His staff were supportive and responsive all along. Keep up the good work Doc.

I visited Dr. Vorkshoor in 2011, with extreme lower back pain. We did an MRI and it was very clear that L5S1 were in great need of surgery. I had a herniated disk and other back issues. Several years before with another orthopedic surgeon I had two herniated disks that were operated on for 12 hours. Needless to say I was anxious about having another surgery, but I couldn’t walk, the pain was so intense. Dr. Vorkshoor did my surgery and within days I realized the sciatic pain was gone. I moved from Los Angeles to Charlotte NC so I no longer see the Doc. I will just say that the surgery was a great success! I wish I started with Dr. Vorkshoor from the very beginning of my back problems. Well, all who want a great Surgeon, MD and terrific person you can trust, he’s the man.
