Staff are generally nice and helpful, but my experience with Santander was awful. They repeatedly suspended online access to my business accounts for weeks at a time, due to somebody trying to make fraudulent transactions over the phone. Which were never successful, but they suspended my accounts anyway, which meant I had to go into the branch to do everything. Over the course of three months I spent around 70 hours either on the phone to Santander, or in the branch. One day I was on the phone to them for over 4 hours and still got nowhere. Avoid at all costs if you run a business.
