Ya no tiene la función de banco pero la fachada se conserva estupendamente y es muy bonito edificio.

Este edificio, actualmente sin uso, ubicó en el pasado el Banco de España. Inicialmente se pensó en instalar en el mismo el Museo de Arqueología y Prehistoria de Cantabria, pero ante la imposibilidad de dar este uso al edificio, el Gobierno de Cantabria lo revertió a la Administración General del Estado.
