The Museum is really ok but the people working there... Dont sit here, dont go there, dont turn around, wait outside in the rain because your is still inside... What a pain in the a**... Horrible

This is something of a maritime museum and aquarium rolled into one. Found at the sea edge in Santander in a modern building. The museum has exhibitions on the fishing industry and also explores the ecology of sealife and the sea. It also looks at the history of fishing in the Cantabria region. Not in the top range of aquariums, but worth a visit.

I liked the whale skeleton. Its a great sensation to watch the skeleton. Aquarium is also interesting to see. Look for the fish which completely camaflouges itself with the sea bed.

Nice place, small but nice. Could be better illuminated. My son (2yo) enjoyed it too.

Worth the visit, especially the aquarium in the basement, and the deck overlooking the bay. I also enjoyed the ship replicas and the whales' skeletons. Recommend!

Nice museum with aquarium of local sea like. Exhibits in both Spanish and English. Covers the history of Maritime actually in the region from Roman times to today. Definitely worth doing on a rainy day. Also has a restaurant on the to floor and a nice park for kids next door.
