We found O Saloio when looking for a bite to eat for ten of us (three adults and seven children) after sightseeing in Santarem. Set back from the road, the simple courtyard at the front does not give you any indication that this will be a great place to eat, but it is. We managed to completely satisfy all of the children's needs with various pork and beef dishes (all accompanied with fries, rice and vegetables) whilst the ladies had sea bass with the same sides. I ordered the \Iberian pork secret\; this was a plate of slightly more fatty pieces of pork but grilled beautifully and full of flavour. I would heartily recommend this restaurant and I am sure that you will find something on the menu to delight you.

Buen sitio para comer. Buena relacion calidad/precio. En la terraza se está muy bien. Las camareras muy atentas. Está muy bien situado en el centro y muy cerca del parking. Sitio tranquilo.

Был вечер. Очень хотелось есть. Этот ресторанчик в переулке - единственный, который работал. Официант слабо говорил (совсем нет) на английском, но сидящий за барной стойкой португалец любезно помог передать наше желание поесть. В итоге: целая дорада - 9 евро, микс мяса на гриле - 8 евро. Очень вкусно!
