Small airport. Funny when you see “international”. No comfort, no space enough. When you arrive, taxi drivers hunts you like a cow. Is hard to recognise who is working legally. If you try to avoid, locals come from your shoulders and ask like a spy where you are going, offering “special prices” etc. In my first experience, I don’t felt myself secure. With them, a short trip to Santarém downdown costs R60-80. If you are not hurry with small baggage, try municipal bus just infront the airport (R3,00 to Santarém downtown) Beside the airport you find a car rent agency (named Localiza). Other option to you. Have a good trip! ;)

It's a small airport. Don't expect lots of comforts here. Infraero has made a lot of improvements over the years, but still, lacks adjustments in a few areas. As a recommendation, get there early to check in your flight because the airport gets crowded and uncomfortable as people arrive at the last minute. The boarding process is usually by feet or sometimes by bus when it's raining.
