Don’t be a tourist, go to this place. Don’t spend hours waiting in queue, visit this center of Art instead. Admire the pieces and installation they have and ask yourself: Is this art? Now what? Did I just lose one hour of my life? My answer: I had a great time.

A very interesting must see building for anyone interested in Álvaro Siza architecture. The bold external form respects the neighbouring San Domingos de Bonaval convent. Internally clever manipulation of corridors, stairs and windows create a wonderful journey through the gallery. Coffee and snacks available at the gallery cafe.
Well worth a visit for an hour to enjoy the air con and expand horizons viewing some very varied contemporary art. Not an expert to know what's good and what's not but should be something of interest for everyone.
After a day in the busy old town, one should relax, take a breath or reconsider plans. Modern art might provide some inspiration for creation!
A good 2 hour trip! A beautiful building by Alvaro Siza and nice complementary art work throughout. Coffee is also very cheap and nice!
