Went for family / private onsen. Well priced for 1 1/2 hours of access to a private room. Friendly staff. Short walk from the station. For those wondering about tattoos, don't ask don't tell, you'll be fine. (public onsen probably forbids it though). Some basic Japanese will get you a long way.

Went to the private onsen (to the left of the public bath entrance). Towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided. Staff were really polite, you purchase your tickets through a machine so that helps with the language barrier. I believe tattoos are ok for the private baths but not the public. Not the cleanest place I've been but overall really nice.

Facility is a bit old, but the baths are great! Can be a little crowded on weekends. There are some food options, but it's all reheated frozen stuff.

No tattoos. Disgusting and outdated rule. I’m shocked that there are no tattoo friendly hot springs in Sapporo city in the year 2019.
