A marvelous architecture. It serves as a symbol of the park. It’s said to be a tribute to the glass pyramid of the Louvre museum designed by architect I.M. Pei, who was a friend of Isamu Noguchi in his youth.

#Hidamari or the #GlassPyramid of is an iconic buiding inside #MoerenumaPark. This 71.2 hectare area used to be a garbage reclaimed ground with and 2,736,000 tons of garbage. Aligned with #Sapporo's vision of urban areas of with lots of greenbelts and parks, #IsamuNaguchi designed the masterplan of this park that has won the #GoodDesignAward in 2002. Park has a playground equipment, outdoor sports fields, and iconic structures. Visitors can enter the park and use the parking lot for free. #letsguide #localguide

Went there during Snow Festival 2019. Beautiful glass pyramid. Warm inside Roof deck was closed when we visited. Bring your food/bento/picnic mats, you can eat inside.

My favorite architectural structure in Sapporo. Moenemura Park was my favorite park, as well, for it was peaceful, quiet and serene. Plus, it was huge, like acres huge--I recommend you rent a bike which is also available in the park.

A huge park catering for all ages, be prepared to spend 2 hours here, the glass pyramid is awesome.

The park is great. We could say a modern Japanese garden. Not in the city center but worth a visit. Be sure to be there when the fountain show is planned.
