Anything else except the lunch sets are not recommended. The good point is you can get refill cabbages, soup, and rice. And the price is gonna be a little bit lower during the lunch time. But the queue is always long in most branches in Sapporo (except the poletown branch) not too bad if you don't have so much choice.

Staff is attentive and approachable. Presented us the English menu upon requesting. They have the lunch menu which is quite affordable as well. You can ask for extra serving of the miso soup, cabbage and rice all free of charge. Tonkatsu was excellent, the skin was crispy and the meat will melt in your mouth. Best tonkatsu I've ever eaten.

Nice place for tonkatsu in Sapporo. The radish is very nice, fresh and juicy. The mustard is exceptionally good with the pork.

There are several Wako locations in Sapporo. I've had the opportunity to eat at the Pole Town location and also this one. This location is convenient if you're in or near Sapporo Station. In contrast to the other location however, this location was a bit more crowded and had a short wait before we could get seated. I ate the tokubetsu hire-katsu at this location, and like the tokubetsu rosu I had at the other location, the plate comes with a lot of condiments. The plate comes with their special salt, oroshi, tsukemono pickles, and of course your main entree with rice and miso soup. I liked this location because they came around with the complimentary cabbage refills more often. For the price, I feel that this location is deserving of 5 stars.

Tonkatsu (Japanese style deep fried crumbed pork cutlet) speciality restaurant. Set menus ranged from 800 to 1300 yen, so fairly reasonable prices. Food was very good, and particularly enjoyed the deep fried oyster which was very succulent and full of flavor. Can request top up of rice, veges and soup (fairly typical for this type of restaurant). Service staff were good and the restaurant is spacious and accommodating. Located on level 6 of the Stellar Place mall.
