Giving 2 stars because I love the food but 9 times out of 10 my order is wrong. I have ordered from this restaurant handfuls of times for pick up/carry out over the course of the pandemic and even prior to with my order being wrong more often than not. The app gives you the option to personalize your order, which is great for us with dietary restrictions, but they don’t follow through with the finished product. We have gotten to the point where we feel we need to go inside to order to be able to supervise how our order is being made to make sure it’s right. The last 3 times we have ordered and paid for extra guac, we have not received it. I could go on about other mistakes made but won’t bore you with details as they are different every time. The only reason we keep going back is because we like the food and it is in a convenient location to our house when we’re in a pinch for food. We now know to check our food every time before leaving and I recommend anyone who goes here does the same. We are always shocked when our order does come out right, which should speak volumes.

Sent feedback directly to CR, and haven't gotten a reply yet. Last two times we've gone, the chips were super dark and tasted almost burned. Ordered queso with the chips, it was curdled and the texture was way off. I tried heating the queso up, but it didn't help. The salsa had slimy cilantro that looked like it had been sitting for a week (pictured). My salad had about 4oz of liquid in the bottom after they served it to me and the tortilla was completely soggy and the pork was dead cold by the time I got it home. (We've done to go from Cafe Rio before and haven't had these issues.) Honestly, my wife and I ate a little of the salads and just threw everything away. Nearly a total loss. Really love Cafe Rio from 3 years ago, so I hope they can turn these quality issues around.
Staff very inattentive and couldn't care less about the food they are preparing. This location is better than the American Fork location but not by much. Very disappointing service and experience.
Super slow service. I went with my brother when there were only two people ahead of us. Had to wait quite a bit longer than I expected. I thought maybe it was going slow because there weren't very many customers. I went again a few days later with a long line. After 7 minutes, one customer got through. I left the restaurant because I realized how long it would take to order. Save yourself some time and go to Costa Vida instead.
I love the food, flavors and ambiance of Cafe Rio HOWEVER this location is severely lacking in customer service and their ability to fulfill orders. I’ve recently moved to Saratoga Springs and this is the third time I’ve ordered from this location. Three strikes you’re out in my opinion. Every single time my online order has had small mistakes (giving the wrong lettuce, forgetting extra dressings, etc) but what has motivated me to leave this review is the callousness and tardiness of the staff. After placing an online order to be picked up at 2:00 and waiting until 2:25 for it to be ready I was disappointed when there were no apologies or offers for a complimentary chips and salsa. When I arrived I wasn’t greeted by the two staff members chatting at the register and when I finally interrupted them they said “Oh it’s busy. Your order is almost done”. I asked if they would like my name to confirm that and they just looked at me. Anyways, you can’t go wrong with yummy food from Cafe Rio but hopefully this location will train their employees a bit more. But I guess not every where can treat you the way Chick Fil A does!!!
