Fantastic old school comedy - food's another story, the comedy makes the experience!

First time at a comedy club. I usually go to larger venues for comedy shows and you miss something, crowd interaction. Small setting maybe 100ish people. They only had 2 waitresses for all the people but I was surprised how well they kept up with the orders. I didn't eat but I looked at the menu and it is just sweets. (sundaes, cheese cake etc.) I saw a Robert Kelly and it was packed. When its full be prepared to be cozy with the person next to you. Overall I had a great time and will definitely plan to go in the future.
I have been to the Comedy Works several times both as a fan of comedy and a performer of it. The food always is good, and the service is great. (I love the hummus plate there- a good vegan/vegetarian option.) I don't drink alcohol so the coffee has always been my go to. I'm not sure what they use, but it's a good medium roast. A friendly staff that is not disruptive to the show. The Comedy Works is in the basement of a beautiful building on Broadway, and is a perfect intimate room. I have performed there when there are 20 and when it is sold out, and it's always intimate and just fun. Great national marquee acts as well as solid road professionals are regularly on the stage, and they have an open mic that allows the local up and coming acts to hone their skills. There are a surprisingly good number of local talent that are as diverse and eclectic as you will find in any scene. There is also Latin dancing and all kinds of music and events there. Dinner and a show is just a fun night out.
Solid old school stand up venue. Dinner and comedy? Do it. Is the food amazing? Hell no, but is it worth the 15 upsell? Hell yes.
1st Time here, and is, Awwwwwesome. Definitely Returning, nice staff and good foods and Great Entertainment.
Had a great time. The place is huge, where they have the show is cozy. Fun place to go in Saratoga.
