Great restaurant and great people. The food never disappoints. My favourite food to order is the chilli fried beef and the spicy lemon chicken. I also love the Thai soup and the Chung Moi Special soup. The restaurant serves lunch specials.
Hakka food is one of the best things about Toronto, and Chung Moi is one of the best Hakka restaurants. Their chili chicken (dry), ginger beef, and masala fried rice are so good we always order double of those. We've moved all over Toronto, and anytime we are anywhere nearby (driving through Scarborough on the 401 is still nearby right?), we make a detour past Chung Moi.
Best Hakka Chinese food anywhere! Chili chicken on rice and chicken pakora are the bomb. My go to Chinese food place for over 20. The owner Theresa is a real live wire! Enjoy!
Chung Moi is one of the best Hakka food restaurant in the GTA. Food is consistently delicious, and for that, they don’t need to impress patrons with decor or anything else. If you come here, you simply come here for the food. Other things don’t matter. Serving is also very good for the price. A few of our favourites are Manchurian Fried Rice and Ginger Crispy Beef. There are other good Hakka places too, but for great hearty Hakka food cravings, we always come back to Chung Moi.
