After my heart surgery I found my self in extreme distress. I didn't knew where to go or what to do to secure my rent until the benefits start coming in .Not to mention the medication affected my sight I was panicking and felt afraid I rarely depend on any services or help. This people help me so much it brought tears in to my eyes. You don't get so much kindness and consideration from strangers. This Covit19 days everything seem to be much more difficult The Staff put my mind at ease. Thank you!

My experience in having to come to these agencies is you need to be respectful to get respect back. Staff here have to deal with all types of people & personalities and I can see and hear why they don’t necessarily respond kindly, all the time. I most certainly couldn’t put up with having to come to work over a career of 10 years or more years being talked to negatively by the public whom they want to help. Public, please be kind! Staff, thank you for your service!

I have been On the system for a few years and I am grateful for all my case workers who have always went above and beyond, Maya Shenoy, was my first worker at the 1900 office at dundas and college. hen I moved to where I am at eglinton & o'connor, Debra edmond was also a breath of fresh air, beautiful, happy and willing to help and provide whatever I needed, Maya Shenoy at the Dundas office helped me start my Pardon application so I would not have any barriers for employment. Kim Mckinnon provide me with a culinary that I took at 55 john street at the YMCA cooking program, I started working in the industry. Debra edmond was also encouraging and was a great listener and has compassion, she always felt sad when I would tell my story regarding the hard life I have had. Now I have another worker, Wing Cie Ah, and this women always helps me in whatever I need. Thank You for the social services and my great women who have been there for me then, and now. God Bless

This is a large and we'll staffed office. Wait times to see a worker are quite short. There is a dedicated employment services office alongside. Front desk personnel are efficient and knowledgeable. Temporary case workers are also empathetic and we'll versed in practices and procedures. I have never left this office feeling worse than when I walked in...
