We booked our daughters wedding with Qssis over a year ago. We never imagined there would be a global pandemic! Mark worked with us every step of the way ensuring we followed the new and ever changing regulations. When banquet halls were completely shut down (again) within the City of Toronto, 5 days before our event, we had to move the wedding to a backyard. Qssis agreed to cater the food, delivering hors d'oeuvres, salads, entrees and drinks!!!! The food was perfectly cooked and our guests loved it. Mark's willingness to work with us was incredible. We appreciate that he went outside of his business model to accommodate our needs.. A huge thank you to Mark and the Qssis team. Their wedding day turned out to be perfect despite all the changes along the way!

I did not dislike the venue itself. It is perfect for weddings and other celebrations. It was the food that I disliked. It was supposed to be a Christmas party, and we had to pay the cost of the dinner by October 31st. Yet they still ran out of turkey well before all of us got even one serving. Even knowing the exact number of people who were attending. They ran out of coffee, cups and spoons soon after. The rest of the dinner was not particularly palatable either. Not particularly Christmas themed - - - the dessert was 2 bite brownies and a strudel with little or no filling. I won't be back.!!!!
They ripped me off for 400. We had to cancel our event due to Covid. I called them 2 1/2 months before the event to cancel. And they weren't even allowed to be open on the date of the event. So its not like I personally cost them any money by canceling. I have spoken to Mark several times now and he just gives me one more excuse each time I have gotten him on the phone. I've also left some messages. They just don't want to give me my money back. Walk away from this place!
When we went here for an event sometime this month, we have a long wait for the main course, simply because the ratio of servers per table are not enough. Per table is 10 guests, and 2 pair of servers are assigned for 8 tables, that is basically 80 guests. If it is a buffet, we should have been good for just 1 server but it's not. The main course is plated, salmon, chicken and veggies, and it requires 2 servers for 4 tables. For me, I am emotionally touched how the servers could possibly handle 80 guests in a plated setting. They should look into this as it compromised their business. For the very long wait, one guest said when the food arrives, "it's to go", because other guests are done in their main course. How sad.....
To be honest, this place does not even deserve a star! I am typing this review on the behalf of my dad! First of all, the food is horrible! The soup that they serve is too cold, it reminds me of baby food. The roast beef was hard and dry, it reminded me of a "Hungry Man" microwave dinner. Barely even saw the staff or waiters to get a hold of them. Very unimpressive, disappointed and they should do more better to keep the customer happy!
A functional banquet hall. The interior is dated. It's not as fancy as others not too far away. The parking spaces are limited so if you have large party it's going to be tight. The positive is that it is priced according to it's status. It is very reasonable.
DO NOT EVEN THINK OF WORKING FOR THIS HALL unless you want to work for free and used as a slave. I have been working for this hall as a server for less than minimum wage yet still wouldn’t get paid on time until recently they are holding my 2 weeks pay and every time I call the Son Jeff Keeps passing me off to his barely alive mother apparently the “account” for their company. And the mother Gina keeps telling sad story’s to justify why she can’t pay me while renovating their hall. My friends that worked for them also didn’t get paid and going to labor board. I hope karma gets them for what they put me and my friends through.
