What a hospital!! Such rude front desk people!! I cannot even put in words. They are not working for free there and they think we owe them something. Very unhelpful and extremely rude. I am mad beyond measure. I am trying to reach my dad, and I can't and I have asked someone to check his phone in case the ringer is off, and no one is really helping here. The service is horrible!!!!

I went to their COVID testing centre Monday Nov. 23 , I made my appointment for 4pm , the lineup was fine 20-30 people all using social distancing & masks. I got in at 4:30pm , got tested , which is eye opening !! It really feels weird . Made my nose run but no problems after. Big Shout Out to the nurses !! Security was very helpful Test Results Today : NEGATIVE

They belittle you if you are elderly. My friend had a south Asian ER doctor that spoke to his grandma like a baby because of the language barrier. Document all the interaction with this hospital. They have lots of death by doctor malpractice. Malpractice is hard to prove in Ontario and you only get 100K payout. Take a private ambulance to North York general or Sunnybrook. This hospital needs to be defunded because it kills more people staying in operation than being closed. Health care professionals are below competent at best. This hospital ranks #71 in Canada. Pathetic waste of tax money.

Several years ago my younger brother & girlfriend were pregnant with healthy, very active twin girls. They went to Scarborough General Hospital because she was experiencing back pain. She was about 7 months along and having an otherwise textbook pregnancy. She and my brother were placed in a room, however the nurse neglected to fasten the transducer around her abdomen, which is standard and monitors the babies heartbeat. My brother’s girlfriend was given medication for her back pain and then the couple was left in that room for hours!!! My brother recalls that they waited and waited with no answers and no indication that anything was wrong. At one point a nurse entered the room, they asked her questions but her answers were vague, she barely made eye contact and quickly left. Finally the young couple was told that their baby girls had died. The staff neglected to use a transducer therefore there was nothing to indicate when the babies went into distress. There was never an apology or explanation from SGH... nothing! The mother delivered her two beautiful girls and then we buried them. Our family is still devastated and without closure. My brother has never recovered. Scarborough Hospitals are deathtraps!

This is the third visit to the Emergency Department for me at hospital located at Lawrence Ave E and McCowan Road. Luck for me, I’m not a patient tonight but my friend is in severe pain. During COVID-19, all parking lot fees have been waived. That is 16 less for me to have to spend this day! If daily parking included a vehicle wash, it wouldn’t bother me as much. Just venting out loud for the other times I was here.
