When moved to Brussels we spent ages looking for a bakery with that right fresh crispy baguette... Van Dender is simply amazing, not only for the quality and variety of its breads and baguettes, but also puffed pastries, croissants, Danishes, cakes and pralines. Open also on Saturdays and Sundays.

Came here to get some birthday treats during quarantine. The cakes were delicious, very light even though we ate several of the small ones.
My favorite bakery of the neighborhood ( going there since ever) One of the sole one to still make their own bread (search for it, you ll see) and provider of the Belgian Court. It's always a nice plus when you offer those delicacies to your friends and family from abroad. It adds up a fancy touch for any gift ;)
Hands down one of the best bakeries and chocolatiers in the world. The cakes always look beautiful and somehow manage to taste even better, the breads are all amazing, they do a really good sourdough. The croissants are delectable, I love the couqe au beurre in particular as it is incredibly we'll balanced in flakiness, sweetness and butteriness. The pralines are also incredibly good, especially the tea flavors. It is a bit on the pricey side but definitely worth bracing the long lines on a Sunday morning for.
