Ellis hospital primary care and Dr nazar's office are the worst and unprofessional people I have ever come across not even worth rating one star

Practitioners have come and gone for various reasons; very difficult to speak to someone in the office; office had my phone number from many years ago that was never updated (even though the new number has been provided many times, at least on the annual forms that have to be completed for any visit).

It was a case worker at Ellis Hospital who chose my PCP and scheduled the appointment for me. I didn't see the doctor selected, because they pawned me off on an NP. At my first appointment she was supposed to submit 4 prescriptions for me. She forgot to submit 2 of them, or just plain didn't bother, and of the 2 scripts that she did submit, one (my insulin) was incorrect, and on top of all that, she sent them to the wrong pharmacy. The pharmacy tried for a week to get ahold of her to fix the script, and in the meanwhile I ran out of insulin. I had to call and leave 2 messages to get her to finally correct the script. I had just spent 11 days in the hospital for DKA, and she felt no sense of urgency in getting me my insulin and diabetic supplies. I finally got a script for my test strips and needles 2 months later. She did not give me any refills, so the pharmacy contacted her for approval when it came time to renew the scripts. She denied the request. It is not easy to get an appointment with an endocrinologist, so I really needed at least one refill to hold me over until I could one. I ended up buying them on eBay, rather than beg her for them. I never needed medical care until I became diabetic, so my only real experience with doctors is with those at Ellis Medicine, and I am not impressed at all. Are all doctors and nurses so useless and incompetent? I guess I'll find out, because new year, new insurance, new doctors. I'll be switching to Albany Med. They can't be any worse.

I told my so-called \doctor\ that my fingers and toes are tingling. Her response to me was \we can chop them off\. \CHOP THEM OFF\???!!! WHO SAYS THAT???Without even offering to run a test to find out why!! I live in Schenectady County, but you can bet everything I am going to find a new, REAL DOCTOR in Saratoga County!!! ************************************************** I wrote that review three months ago. Here is a very unfortunate update: I needed to see a doctor because I went to the ER. I wanted to make a follow-up appointment with the doctor in the old St. Clare's. Guess what??? I could not do it because St. Clare's is under the Ellis umbrella..... HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE???

Better than my previous Capital Care experiences but still not good. Almost impossible to get an appointment. MD spent more time talking about how I'd enjoy my trip for a conference than listening to my concerns. If it wasn't impossible to get a new GP (it took -14 months- to get in here) I wouldn't continue going back.
