I’ve been taking my son to see Dr. Trimble for the past 7 months and every time we go in he impresses me more and more. It is apparent that he really cares and takes his job seriously. This most recent time we were in we were not scheduled to see the doctor but I still had some questions that I wanted to ask him. I asked the receptionist if we would be seeing him because I had a few questions and she said I could let his nurse know and she could ask the doctor. Not even a min later Dr. Trimble comes out (because he overheard me at the front) and walks us to a room to answer our questions. Talk about taking initiative. I’m really grateful that my son ended up getting Dr. Trimble as his pediatrician.

We had an appointment scheduled at 4PM at Northeast Pediatric Associates, we were 15mins early, it was 4:40PM and we are still waiting. We were placed in the patient room and we waited 15mins more. They could have given us an update on the delay. This happens everytime we have an appointment here, it's like they over book the doctors just so they can make money. I bet if we were 40mins late they would make us reschedule. The doctor was really nice and professional, my issue is with scheduling and delays.

From the beginning this dr office made me upset I called numerous times before my son was born and they assured me I would be able to take my son to dr Stafford. I made my sons newborn appointment and they informed me she was no longer accepting new patients but 3 days before I called to make the new appointment they said she was. We ended up seeing Dr. Thomas and we really liked her. Fast forward 9 months and I call to make my sons 9 month appointment and they informed me our pediatrician moved to Houston and we had to see a new provider. When asked if we could see another physician in the schertz location she informed me that the doctors aren’t accepting transfer patients, which is upsetting that we’re stuck with a new dr and if we want to switch we have to go to another location. I asked why we weren’t notified and the front desk said insurance was supposed to send us a letter. Never have I worked or been to an office where the insurance sends a letter and not the practice. Overall I’m highly upset that we didn’t know she moved and we would’ve showed up with no knowledge we were not seeing Dr Thomas.

I can’t say based of a bad experience per say as to why I’m writing my review more so how the office comes off as a whole reason for 2 stars. So far the front desk was friendly and informative but once I received the new patient paperwork packet I was completely turned off . As I was reading there financial agreement for parents to sign I noticed this place really tries to charge you any way they can. An instead of coming off as an area that had my sons best interest at heart (for his health) it came off more as they were simply looking for a bigger paycheck. They charge for no shows and late appointments which is totally understandable but the rest of there charges seem a little far fetched. Like after hour appointments or weekend visits, God forbid my child was really sick they charge an extra 25 (on top of the copay you’re going to already have to pay) you might as well see a specialist at that point or go to urgent care. They also charge 7 to fill out forms for school and or sports which I’m pretty sure other office do so free of charge??? 10 for a doctors note? Also 10 fee to printout payment history which probably doesn’t cost more than 10 cents to print out as well as other outlandish fees you can look up for yourself on there website. You’d think the doctors make enough to run there own office but I guess they charge extra fees to do so. How unfortunate and inconsiderate of your patients. I’m sorry but I believe they should really re evaluate there practice as a whole and there terms you must accept before becoming one of there patients.
