The hotel staff is very rude. Booked a table for New Year’s Eve and waited well over 90 minutes for a very expensive meal that was overcooked and terrible. And yes we paid full price anyways of over 120 Euros. We saw people with young kids kicked out to the lobby because the kids were too loud, this at a supposed New Year’s Eve party . Luckily we were allowed to sit with our 7 year old but left early anyways because of the poor service. The hotel location is good and the room is ok. The problem here is the attitude of the staff. There are Alternative hotels here in Königssee and I recommend to search them out. Asked this morning if we could have toast and received a loud "NEIN" and the waitress just walked away. Hotels like this rely on Location and not on being guest friendly. My Tip is go to the ski rental and ask about accommodations. They are super friendly and will point you to the right places to eat and stay.

Great hotel! Really, room was clean all the time. Hotel looks nice inside and outside. Also perfect view from window! Just 2 steps to Jennerbahn and close to Königssee. Personal is very friendly and glad to help you with any info or order tickets for you. Only positive impression about hotel. Thank you guys!

Wir verbrachten zehn wunderschöne Urlaubstage im Hotel Bergheimat. Haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt. Das Zimmer war sehr gemütlich und alles sehr sauber. Mit Hygieneregelung wurden wir im Restaurant sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich bedient. Und das Essen war jeden Tag super lecker. Besonders danken möchten wir "unseren" beiden Kellnern Beate und Helmut. Die zwei waren SPITZE. Die Damen an der Rezeption kümmerten sich mit einer sachlichen Freundlichkeit um unsere Belange. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.
