Great place to checkout. Great owner, delicious food, wonderful selection of items to purchase and extremely clean bathrooms. I tried the grain bowl and it had wonderful flavors. I like how they offer many vendors in the area to host in their location.

Overall- not a place for me. I didn't have a clue what to expect going here because I didn't know where my husband was taking me. At first look I noted that they need to get some signage up outside. (I think they may be working on this as I saw a sign against the wall on my way out... but it needs to be hung up outside.) The building looks chic and neat inside with a farm to table rustic theme/feel. When you first walk in there are many different local items from honey and jams to art pieces. The menu is small, which isn't usually a bad thing. The food items offered just weren't my preference I guess. Both of us ordered hamburgers. One mountain with slaw and one jalapeno with veggie chips. The waitress informed us the hamburgers would be cooked medium- perfect for me, I thought. However, they didn't come that way. They were much more on the rare side, too rare for my liking. The meat its self was bland. The buns were pretty good and I enjoyed the garlic aioli on the jalapeno burger. The slaw was vinegar based and not awesome but not terrible. The vegetable chips were dried vegetables, not veggie chips like you would buy in the chip isle of a store. If you like your veggies, you'd enjoy them.

My husband and I just had a delicious brunch this morning and this wonderful place. This shop is so lovely, and sells so many neat, local products. Whether it's some groceries or unique gifts you might look for, there is a small, but interesting selection.

Amazing farm to table establishment. Fantastic decor. Really appreciate that they highlight local businesses such as honey's, jam's, and various products. Only complaint is that I wish I had more of that delicious potato salad. Will be going again.

Yum! Salads are amazing. Large portions. Just wished they had splenda for tea. Market was cozy with many natural soaps, lotions, candles. Coffee candle smelled amazing!! Will definitely be back.

We loved the farm to table food and the restaurants chill vibe. Its decorated in country style and the buildings original charm helps this cool vibe shine through. There are many food choices and everything was prepared perfectly. Sometimes veggie burgers are dry and bland, but this burger has just the right amount of beans, quinoa and veggies! So good!

We were told about this place by friend who often turns us on to great new spots. They were right again. A lovely farm to table cafe in downtown Scranton, The Wandering Hen has a charming space and unique breakfast selections. From standards to classics, everything was done very well. Even the coffee is great! Oh, and all four of us left full with a total bill of 50.00. And we brought own champagne and they gladly brought us wine glasses, too.

I'm not one to normally leave reviews, but this time, I just need to. No exaggeration, the best restaurant food... in PA. I have been all over the world and tasted good food from a lot of different cultures and this was in my top ten worldwide. Wow. I sampled a lot of different dishes including the veggie sandwich, the country Cobb salad, the Mac and cheese (actually the best I have ever tasted) and the veggie burger. Everything was amazing. Absolutely. This little nook needs to be realized by it's small City community and recognized for it's excellent food. Awesome job Wandering Hen!
