Really good little pub situated at the bottom of Church Street. We called in on saturday afternoon and it was quite busy and had a good friendly atmosphere. There is a good selection of beers behind the bar. The decor was great , the only down side was there is only one toilet for all the clientele . Will definitely call next time we are in Seaham if they are open

Great warmth and an even greater welcome, from the guys. A great little snug pub, selling the best pint and with the best "craic". I'll miss you guys the next few weeks, see you in December, ps cant wait for a mulled cider or wine infront of the log burner and the smell of christmas !
The Coalface is a favorite of mine and my dog Roy.
Visited this pub on my last trip to England. What an amazing, cozy and interesting place! The fireplace was so warm and inviting while sipping on delicious drinks. The coal mining history and memorabilia is very unique and gives this pub it's authentic charm. I was there for buskers night and it did not disappoint. Cannot wait to come back!
Cute bar. Only small but big enough. Fire was on which was lovely on a cold day. Nice choice of drinks including coffee . Staff were helpful and very friendly. Good parking nearby and close to shops. Will definitely be going again.
Great little micro-pub where the owners are trying to do things the right way. Great atmosphere, well kept beers and some subtle nods to the area's mining heritage. Highly recommend anyone living or visiting Seaham pays a visit.
The coal face is a great place with a fantastic atmosphere! Quiz night on a Thursday always a good laugh! Highly recommend
