Sushi was amazing here! The staff was friendly and hospitable. You should definitely make a reservation, as it gets busy quickly, but it's a nice place to eat at. The prices are low for what you get, which is a plus. The only complaint I have is that some of the desserts on the menu were not available.

The food was great and they had a lot of interesting dishes. The 7 spice pork belly appetizer was fantastic. The service was pretty slow though, took over 40 minutes to get the sushi. It was also really noisy, hard to have a conversation. We will come back again to try more dishes.
Sushi class:I took a sushi making class here and it was really fun. A great opportunity to enjoy tasty food and meet new people! I liked hearing about how the rice is made and the chef is very relaxed/makes you feel comfortable. Dining: I enjoyed the rainbow roll a lot. The atmosphere is nice a little more quiet than other places.
Less than average sushi served at 'happy hour prices.' The sushi was prepared haphazardly and did not taste fresh. The duck prosciutto wrapped around a leek was not very good. A few of the staff seemed more concerned with turning over tables and rushing people out then giving customers proper service. Reminds me of prefrozen sushi found far inland, in places like Montana, it was underwhelming to say the least. Based out my experience i cannot recommend this 'sushi' I am one local that will definitely not be returning.
Chiso Sushi & Izakaya has very good sushi, decent service, wonderful atmosphere, and wouldn't you know it? Well run. We staggered in as a party of 7 at 9:00, praying they would let us in. We'd been turned down this late before, but lo and behind, they sat us! Their cocktails are very creative and tasty, although I found them a bit weak. My eel roll was phenomenal, and came with sriracha and soy sauce, which I'd never had with this particular roll. Tasted two other rolls (forgot the name of one, spicy tuna was the other) which were of equal quality. Apps (edamame and gyoza) came out very fast and were also delicious. My only gripe here is that they charge gratuity to a party of 7. Who does that? 8 I've heard before, but 7?
I really enjoy the chiso chirashi bowl, as it is well served. The spicy bowl is too hot for my taste. Rolls are prepared with care; i like the twice baked roll. You will find a lot of locals for dinner as it is good quality food at a good price for sushi
Servers were really nice and kept checking how we were doing. Good location in Fremont. The tiger roll was good, though didn't taste as fresh or flavorful as in other places I've had it. - Food here is really expensive - their cheapest sashimi is 12 for only 4 pieces, and most of their good rolls are about 14. - The miso soup was 3 and we really disliked it to the point we couldn't finish. - The food took about 45 minutes to be ready.
I had gyozas which were excellent and a chirashi which was also good. I would have liked to try more things but I was full :). They have half a dozen of cocktails which are standard cocktails tinted with a pinch of Asia, very original. I ordered a cucumber gin tonic, it was very good but full of ice cubes so that it was very short. I had a junmai sake with the meal, I'm no specialist at all but I enjoyed it. Service was good, except they brought the main dish before the starter. They have free wifi which is great because network coverage is almost inexistent at the back of the restaurant.
