Had surgery last June. Still using a walker after blood clot in my lung and legs from not being able to get up and walk after surgery because of hospital short staffed and then found out he was prescribing nicorette patches without my permission which they gave my brother and father a heart attack and blood clots. Now I am still using a walker and have a scarred lung. I feel he should of had the decency to ask about the patches since he doesn’t know what reactions they would cause, I should have been up and walking the day after surgery. Some of his residents are great and listen while others ignore you. Now having to find another doctor to authorize physical therapy since I won’t go back to him. Last appointment waited 90 minutes. Husband and I left and won’t return. Completely disappointed when he came highly recommended I should had known he was a reformed smoker and pushed his personal belief beyond the scope of being a doctor.

He has performed surgery on my mom. Very professional and an excellent surgeon. Never had any issues with him or his staff.

Had Spinal Decompression surgery he had a medical resident do it and guess what after 2 years I’m still not walking. A couple of follow ups lead to “I’m sorry but it’s your stomach”. So I went to Jens Chapman the same bull story but told to live a healthy life. Bunch of QUACKS. . Lawsuits are coming soon.

Dr Bellabarba is an amazing surgeon. He worked on my mother several times and was very informative and personal during the surgery and after care. Went out of his way to make personal calls to me to give updates and make sure my mother was taken care of. He’s fantastic!

Update: 1 year later. I, indeed, need 2 surgeries on my spine. I could have been on with my life if my case was taken more seriously at the 2nd visit. My new surgeon ordered a myelogram which revealed more than just a CAT scan. Disappointed the doc gave up helping me so quickly. Had my first appointment 2 weeks ago. Upon review, was told I needed surgery. Was instructed to have a CT scan first. After the scan, the doctor seemed totally checked out asking me how I got injured after I had told him just a week prior and then said no surgery. He then gave me follow-up instructions to get an xray. I had xrays done at my first appointment at the clinic!!!! Kind of obvious he didn't review my file before coming into the room. I waited an hour past my appointment time the first visit and TWO hours on my subsequent visit. Pretty pricey parking in the garage. Completely frustrated. Upon reviewing my CT scan results and research, I DO need surgery. It is my belief he is afraid to touch me due to prior botched surgeries.
