The owner of this company came to my mother-in-laws home about 3 years ago to replace a analog system with a new digital system. He used all of the existing wiring, replacing only the control box and the keypad. He also did this for my mothers home a few years earlier. When my mother passed we called the office and had the monitoring system turned off. After my mother-in-law passed my sister-in-law called to have the monitoring turned off. They said they needed to come out to do that. The owner of this company came into the home and cut the wiring to the control panel and the keypad taking the equipment with him. THIS EQUIPMENT WAS PURCHASED BY MY MOTHER-IN-LAW AND WAS NOT THE PROPERTY OF THE ALARM COMPANY. The last time I talked with Norm (the owner) he stated that they may have made a mistake and would call back the next day. After a week and several additional calls to this company, we have been unable to get the owner to call us back. CHARGES HAVE NOW BEEN FILED WITH THE ROCKFORD POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR THEFT AND CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY. Security Alarm came out today (3/10/16) and replaced the alarm they removed. No phone call or apology from the owner, but at least the alarm system was reinstalled.
