Nice deco Adequate service Bad food presentation Generally every dish was too salty for my taste. The worst was...Oysters were not fresh in the omelette. Fried chicken was to dry Kitchen didn't seem to be able to meet the demand

My experience with SedapNya hasn't been bad, though I stayed away from the seafood (I usually do with all restaurants, you won't get fresh fish here in Petaling Jaya). The decor is pretty, and the price is slightly higher than average. It caters more toward groups and is a pleasant choice for families wanting a traditional Peranakan-style meal. The premise is well decorated, and their rattan chairs and wooden tables are comfortable. The room is dimly lot though, even in broad daylight. Their floor staff is very cordial though not too proficient in English but it is good enough, and they mostly do a commendable job. From the menu, I ordered the Nyonya Dry Noodle (RM13) that comes with a small bowl of Cabbage Soup. It was season well and had a body of flavor The sauce Oyster and Soy sauce based cooked with mince chicken. It was good but otherwise unremarkable, however, apparent care was taken in it's preparation and execution that warranted me to try another dish. I ordered their Nyonya Chicken Curry, RM25 for 2 pax, and I wasn't disappointed. Their curry was excellent, bolder than typical Nyonya curry but still lighter than Malay and Indian curry. The curry was well balanced, flavorful, creamy and tangy. The gravy was full-bodied, with ample spices but without heat, and the chicken was tender. This was definitely worth the money spent and I'd definitely recommend it. From my own experience, I think SedapNya is a good place to eat. The price is slightly higher than average but there is a standard of quality here that is hard to replicate, and so, is worthy of your consideration. But do bring cash, as for the moment they only accept cash.

Lunch set provides decent value but the quality isn’t particularly good. The drinks were watery but much worse is that the chicken was very red and bloody inside, didn’t seem like good quality at all.

Went on a weekday so the service was super quick and attentive. My mom and I were surprised by how much we loved the Seafood Petai Fried Rice. We even packed 2 to go but switched it to chicken for the fam at home - They loved it too! We also got the Salted Calamari which was pretty good, though I felt like it on the chewier side but we still liked the taste! Would definitely go again. Not too bothered by the price, after all it is in a mall...

OK not to bad, but not to great either. To be fair I only tried the ala carte meals and not the main dishes. It was recently opened at the starling Mall and there were plenty of people waiting in line though. The decor is pretty modern traditional and makes a comfortable meal. But I think because they are new there is still some improvements needed for service. Ordering takes the form of marking a paper order chit.

The Char Kwei Tiao was excellent, and the chendol & ice-kacang were very authentic!

The shop decor is acceptable. The staff are friendly. But the food is so absurdly bad it is a travesty of Nyonya food. We ordered a good spread of food from the menu driven by the thought of fragrant Nyonya cuisine but were badly let down by the end result. The assam fish curry came with Saba mackerel (the one used for Japanese Saba shio-yaki). It tasted like the fish died in the soup. Not coming near this place again. If not for some excellent experience with Nyonya fare elsewhere, I would have sworn off this cuisine for life! Another thing - credit cards are not accepted here. It's cash only. Good thing we carried enough cash on us to pay for our generous spread.
