The highlight of Segovia! You feel like you're absolutely transported back in time. The views are amazing and we were lucky enough to see snow in the area as well. This made the castle quite cold, so make sure to layer up as you'll be spending quite a bit of time in the castle without any heat. Note: Visited prior to COVID, so there may some changes.

We have seen several castles and palaces in northern Spain, and this has been our favorite to date. The thing that sets it apart is the restoration of the rooms to closely or exactly match what they looked like at it's heyday. The painted, ornate ceilings were amazing to see, and the furnishings add a nice touch. There was an impressive display of weaponry from back in the day. It takes a couple hours to walk through with the audio tour, and if you climb the tower add 30-45 minutes to that. Parking nearest o Alcazar is limited to one and a half hour tickets, so you will need to park further and walk or leave to buy a new parking ticket in the middle of your visit.

The views and overall architecture of this palace is just awesome. Go towards the end of the day when the rooftop isn’t too crowded. The church bells ringing in the distance are so cool to just listen to in peace. One of my favorite places.

The Alcázar de Segovia is quite an amazing historic monument in Segovia. It is one of the most visited monuments in this gorgeous city besides the Aquaduct de Segovia. The place was under renovation, so we decided not to go inside as the tour was a bit limited. The views from this castle is gorgeous.

Amazing architecture and great Castle to explore, the view from the tower tops is breathtaking with views of the valleys and the city.
