Excellent cod, chips and mushy peas dinner in the restaurant. I appreciated the display board which told me the name of the trawler that caught the cod and farmer that grew the potatoes. Nice touch. Friendly staff and great service. Well worthy of their awards and highly recommended.

Last two takeaways weve had have been shockingly bad. The fish so thin with that off dirty metalic taste. Grim. Eaten straight out of the box too. Not cooked fresh I noticed. No idea what has happened. Used to frequent the restaurant which was always amazing...
We visited for lunch today and the chips were absolutely faultless with the perfect balance of outside crunch and soft inside. A bowl of scraps was also very welcome. I don't eat fish myself but my wife remarked that the cod was of very good quality, moist and flaky. The addition of a homemade pie to the menu would certainly be worth a thought to hit even greater heights.
