This place is truly awful. They have no organization it is a freak show they don't let the horses be out in the pasture and if your kid wants to one day own a horse they need to know how to take care of horses a they are not going to learn it at SSH. people who say that this place is great have never ridden any where else they don't know any different. I have gone to multiple barns and they all say SSH is horrible.

My daughter has been at Select since she was 5 years old. She is now 15 . We feel very lucky and blessed to have found this barn. Ella started in the lesson program then moved to the academy team! She loved showing and competing so much we finally moved to the Show Team. We show Saddlebreds and Arabian horses. Kellie,Dalton and Sarah are wonderful. They always have her best intentions in mind.

We have been with Select Show Horses for four years and couldn't be happier. Kellie and Dalton are an amazing team and the addition of Sarah Barclay to their program is only going to elevate them to an even higher level. My daughter has learned so much and become such a better rider, and more importantly she's gained so much confidence in herself. We have used Select Show Horses for our son's riding lessons for the past year. Our experience has been extremely positive as the facility is top notch (as well as clean) and the instructors are phenomenal. Cheryl W. has been the primary instructor for our child and has far exceeded expectations through her teaching technique and overall ability to not only work with kids, but get them excited to learn and develop. The confidence our son has gained, along with the passion for riding and the entire sport, has been one of the neatest things to experience as a parent (and I'm grateful to the staff for the positive impact it has had on our child). The entire staff has been exceptional and a more than positive experience for our family. One of the most special things about the program is the overall positive attitude and support you see other riders provide their fellow rider (even the younger kids). Our children attended one of the Summer camps (which they loved) and found it to be a wonderful experience to learn more about the horses and what all goes into riding. From a facilities, staffing, and fellow participant perspective, Select Show Horse is 2nd to none and I highly recommend families to get involved (even if only for the starter package or one of the camps to see if there is an interest in riding).

My daughter and I moved to Indiana this summer. My daughter had always had a love for animals, but horses seem to open her soul and spirit. I researched and found Select Show Horses to be an instant connection. Cheryl, who has been with us all the way, has taught my daughter not just riding. ( Which she does do magnificently when working with Maddie.). She and the whole team each individual and their strengths and weaknesses. They use their strengths to help them see their weaknesses as a learning opportunity to become a better rider, team memeber and person. I have been so blessed by the Select Show Horses family to see my daughter become more confident, find her passion, and let fear no longer be a stopping block, but a step up block. Dalton Budd and Kellie Wendling sold a very unfit horse to an inexperienced rider and were neither truthful nor forthcoming regarding it's nature or temperament. I later learned that as the deal was closing, unknown by me, their peers challenged their actions and a significant attempt, by individuals who do not know me, to dissuade them from closing this deal was made. It was reported to me much later that Dalton Budd's response was "I've just got to get rid of this horse". The horse was LISTED IN PRINT as "amateur and youth friendly". Nothing could have been further from the truth. Dalton Budd and Kellie Wendling will lie to you. Do not engage in business with Select Show Horses.
